Itinerary

Stop 1
Ballindalloch Castle and Gardens
The castle grounds contain a 20th-century rock garden and a 17th-century dovecote. Known as the "pearl of the north". The rivers Spey and Avon flow through the grounds, offering excellent fishing. The famous Aberdeen Angus cattle herd resides in the castle estate. Today, the castle is still occupied by the Macpherson-Grant family.

Stop 2
Brodie Castle
Brodie Castle, ancestral home of the Brodie clan for over 400 years. The castle houses a magnificent collection of furniture, ceramics and artwork. An ancient Pictish monument known as Rodney's Stone can be seen in the castle grounds.

Stop 3
Duffus Castle
We will visit Duffus Castle on our 3rd stop. The castle was in use from 1140 to 1705. Originally it was a wooden structure and it was replaced with one of stone. We will stop here for around 30-40 minutes. There is no charge to visit this castle and there is an approximate walk of 5 minute walk from the car park.

Stop 4
Spynie Palace
Our 4th castle stop will be at Spynie Palace also known as Spynie Castle. It was the fortified seat for about 500 years. Spynie Palace was in use between 1150 to 1689. We will stop here for around 30-40 minutes. There is a charge to visit this castle (see below) and there is an approximate walk of 5 minute walk from the car park

Stop 5
Gordon Castle Estate
Over two hundred years old, it is one of Scotland's largest and oldest walled gardens. Relax in the peaceful surroundings and try delicious freshly picked produce in their award-winning café or browse a range of over 200 products in the shop.

Stop 6
Auchindoun Castle

Drumin Castle
